What do you think what happend after the race. Naturaly the price giving ceremony was crowded and everyone need to touch Kanai's car and take some pics. Yep me too, but I am not that pushy. So I went home without pictures of his worlds winning car. As I sat in my plain to get home suddenly someone walked into the plane with a model car. I did not knew the guy, but he was carrying a green car with number 4 on the body. That must be Kanai's car I thought instantly. Would this guy have stolen the worldchamps car? The car went into the overhead locker. During the flight I asked the guy friendly who he was (It could have been a thief you know!) but he wasnt. OOHF! That was a relieve! The guys name was John Stokes and he is Assistant Product Development Manager for Hobbico the distributor of Kyosho in the USA. He told me that the car needed to be brought to a modelcar show in (oohps I forgot the name!). So I asked as kind as I could be if I could take some pictures. And guess what NO PROBLEM he said. So I took my camera and placed the car in the walking ayle of the plain. Yooh those ladies who normal always have MACLEANS smile were not happy I was doing that. But I thought by myself what the heck this is a once in a lifetime change. Rob Nelson from BBK software happend also to be on that same plain and he assisted me with taking the pics (thanks Rob).
So here they are exclusively on TWF8, Yuichi Kanai's World Champion Kyosho MP-7.5 with R&B S7 Worlds engine at a close up on 5.000 Kilometers above sea level.
