This is the building process of a GS-Racing STORM PRO with all pro's and con's found.

Take the "BAG STEP 1-3"
and open it. |
 |
These are all items from that BAG 1-3. |
 |
A paper nicely mention which parts are used in these STEP
1-3. |
 |
For STEP 1 we need these parts. This
is for one differential only.
So we need to do the following steps three times! For front, rear and
center. |
 |
Slide a 8x16 m/m ball bearing over the output of the diff case. |
 |
Put some grease on the drive output. Heavy duty grease will do fine.
The grease is not in the kit! |
 |
Slide the output while turning to divide the grease in the dif case until
it touches the bearing. Remove all excessive grease. Beware that there are
two dif outputs with flat spots on it. These are for the center dif. The
fully round ones are for the front and rear dif. The picture shows the center
one. At the end you have three dif cases, two with
full round dif outputs and one with two flattened dif outputs. |
 |
Put the yellow silicone o-ring over the shaft. |
 |
Now take the sun gear and place it upside down like the picture shows on
the shaft and press it gently until it blocks. This makes the silicone
ring to go to its place without being damaged. When the silicone ring is
at its place remove the sun gear. |
 |
Now fit the bronze 6x10 m/m bearing on the shaft. Apply some grease on
it before sliding it on the shaft. |
 |
Do the same as with the placing of the silicone ring, when ready remove
the sun gear. |
 |
Slide through the hole at the side of the dif case the small pin. |
 |
Align it so it can go through the output shaft and center it so both
sides are equal in length. In differentials of other
manufactures there is also a thin shim washer between this pin and the
bronze bushing. GS has omitted it! |
 |
Fit the sun gear and align it so the pin slides in the groove at the
rear of the sun gear. |
 |
Make two axles with the satellite gears like the picture shows.
Do not forget to fit the thin black shim washers. |
 |
Now lay one of the axles in the dif case with the cutout upwards like
the picture shows. |
 |
Place the other with the cutout downwards so the cutouts in the middle
are facing each other. |
 |
Fit a 4x4 m/m set screw in the hole at the side of the dif case. Make
sure it is flush with the outside of the dif case. |
