The parts we need for STEP 12
Be sure you pick the arm with the straight legs and the lower
hinge pin holder blocks marked with "A" and "B". |
 |
Take an 3x3 m/m set screw ant fit it in the bottom of the steering
knuckle carrier. Just turn it in a few turns. |
 |
Now fit the (R)IGHT steering knuckle carrier in the lower front arm and
slide an 3x36 m/m hinge pin trough it. Watch that the cut out (groove) in
the hinge pin is placed so that the long part is going into the arm from
the front, first. |
 |
Now tighten the 3 m/m set screw until it touches the hinge pin. Do not
over turn it. |
 |
The (R)IGHT side ready. |
 |
Do the same sequence for the (L)EFT side. |
 |
Both side (L)EFT and (R)IGHT ready. |
 |
Fit in each arm a 4x12 m/m set screw from the top of the arm. These
screws become the ride height setting screws. Turn them in until the screw
leaves the other side of the arm so they are flush with the arm. |
 |
Now take the (R)IGHT lower arm we just made and place the hinge pin
holder block marked with and "A" between the arm. Slide the
lower hinge pin 4x57 m/m through the arm and hinge pin holder. Watch where
the cut out (groove) in the hinge pin is when sliding it in. |
 |
Fit an 4x4 m/m set screw in one of the two holes (depending on the
groove in the hinge pin just placed) and use some thread lock. The set
screw must fit in the grooved part of the hinge pin. Watch the marked
"A" for the (R)IGHT side. Do the same sequence
for the (L)EFT side making sure to use the hinge pin holder marked with a
"B". |
 |
The (L)EFT and (R)IGHT front suspension parts ready. Watch the
"A" and "B" marking. |
