Take the engine and place it on the chassis. Turn the chassis with engine upside down and place 4x8 m/m counter sunk screws with 4 m/m counter sunk washers. Do not tight them yet! |

To adjust the mesh between the main gear and the clutch gear just try and error. To much play can reduce clutch bell life. Also to tight can cause premature problems. Just tight the engine mounting screws lightly and check for the play. If not OK readjust and check again. Hold the main gear and move the clutch bell. Feel the free play. Turn the main gear and feel the play again. When the play is just 0.1 m/m the whole main gear round then tighten up the engine screws firmly. |
