We need these parts to make four shock absorbers. |
We need these parts. |
Now fit them in this order an o-ring a thick white plastic washer an
o-ring a thin white plastic washer and a seeger clip to secure it all. Wet
the o-rings with a small drop of silicone oil before you mount them. |
If you have done them all four they look like this. |
Now take a shock shaft and place a 2.6x0.6 m/m washer on the shockshaft. |
Slide the shock piston over the shaft. |
Grab only the thread with a plyer
and mount on top of the 2.5 m/m thread an 2.5 m/m lock nut. Do not grab
the the surface of the shockshaft with a plyer in any case directly.
If you do, use a piece of material like a towel between the claws. The
picture shows the right way even when grabbing the thread at the end
of the shock shaft. |
All four shock shafts with pistons mounted. |
We need four of those 5.8 m/m ball ends. |
Slide the shock shaft slowly past the o-rings in the bottom of the shock
body and extend the shock shat. Now fit a ball end at the end of the shock shaft and turn it onto the
thread. I used a simple tool to hold the 2.5 m/m lock nut on the top of
the shaft while turning. This way you do not have to grab the smooth
surface of the shockshaft with a plyer. |
The ball ends needs to be turned onto the thread until the thread can
not been seen anymore. |
Make them like the picture shows. Two long ones and two shorter ones. |
