This is the building process of a GS-Racing STORM PRO with all pro's and con's found.
 |
STEP 44 according to
the manual is the cutting of the body. But we do not!
We first paint the body and then cut it. So we need paint (spray can,
brush or airbrush) a knife and window cover tape. |
 |
The body comes with a blue transparent protective layer
at the outside. DO NOT REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE
LAYER! Take some fine sanding paper
and rough all parts at the inside of the
body only that need to be painted. The
body becomes a little dull in color but that is OK.
Do not touch the windows with the sanding paper. Rinse
the body out with warm soap water and dry it with a paper towel. Cover all
the windows or parts that may not be covered with paint and need to be
clear at the end with covering tape. Apply this tape at the inside of the
body. |
 |
I first looked at the decals and decided to make the
color scheme white with yellow.
So I first took the yellow spray can and
applied some thin layers. |
 |
Then I covered up the whole inside of the body with 5
thin layers of white. |
 |
Let the body dry one night. |
 |
Then peel off the blue protective layer. |
 |
The body with the protective layer almost off. |
 |
The left side of the body with out the protective layer. |
 |
The front side of the body with out the protective layer. |
 |
The right side of the body with out the protective layer. |
 |
Now take from the inside the window covering tape away
and remove the glue residues if any are left behind. |
