Step 16

picsstep16-001.jpg (39983 bytes) We now are going to make two steering rods.
Take the left/right thread turnbuckles and ball ends and lay them down as the picture shows.
Note the marking groove in the center and how they are positioned..
picsstep16-002.jpg (41223 bytes) Turn the ball ends on the left/right thread turnbuckles and make the distance in-between the red lines 30 mm.
picsstep16-003.jpg (45699 bytes) Press the 3 mm balls in the ball ends using a pliers.
Note the red lines marking the ball ends that need to be fitted on the steering bar.
picsstep16-004.jpg (32492 bytes)  To prevent the steering rods rubbing against the steering bar we need to use these coned bushings.
picsstep16-005.jpg (34633 bytes) Slide a 3 x 16 mm countersunk hexagon screw through the ball and then the coned washer as the picture shows.
Smaller part is pointing to the ball.
picsstep16-006.jpg (45850 bytes) Fit the 3 x 16 mm countersunk hexagon screw in the middle hole of the steering bar and secure it with a 3 mm lock nut using a 5.5 mm wrench and a 2 mm hexagon tool. Watch the coding groove.
picsstep16-007.jpg (48201 bytes) Do the same for the left hand steering rod making sure the right placement of the groove in the left hand side steering rod.
Attach the front chassis brace to the servo saver top plate with a 3 x 12 mm round head hexagon screw using a 2 mm hexagon tool at the red marked spot.
Nice the car comes with left/right thread turnbuckles.
