Step 23

picsstep23-001.jpg (46988 bytes) Take the rear hub carriers from the plastic tree.
picsstep23-002.jpg (37088 bytes) The rear hub carriers are marked with L and R.
picsstep23-003.jpg (38391 bytes) We start with the right hand side of the car and take the R marked rear hub carrier.
Place 8 x 16 x 5 mm ball bearing and press it in the rear hub carrier.
 picsstep23-004.jpg (39394 bytes) Now fit in the inside a 8 x 16 x 5 mm ball bearing too.
picsstep23-005.jpg (37263 bytes) Slide the rear universal drive shaft fully through the rear hub carrier.
picsstep23-006.jpg (39960 bytes) Fit the 17 mm hexagon wheel adapter and align the holes.
Slide the small 2.5 x 16.8 mm pin through and make it level with the outside.
picsstep23-007.jpg (40307 bytes) Take  5 x 4 mm setscrew and fit it in the end of the universal drive shaft and secure it with 2.5 mm hexagon tool.
Do not use thread lock on this screw.
picsstep23-008.jpg (42283 bytes) To firmly tight the screw take a rim and place it on the 17 mm hexagon wheel adapter.
Now take the L-shape 2.5 mm hexagon tool and tight the set screw firmly.
picsstep23-009.jpg (39543 bytes) Now perform the same steps for the left hand side and this is what you should have.
picsstep23-010.jpg (48108 bytes) Take the rear lower suspension arms and remove all burs.
The picture shows the left and right hand side rear lower suspension arms.
picsstep23-011.jpg (37720 bytes) Take the rear lower suspension arm and fit a 4 x10 mm hexagon set screw using a 2 mm hexagon tool.
Turn it in fully so the top is flush with the rear lower suspension arm.
We are going to adjust this screw it the latest step.
Perform the same step for the other lower front suspension arm.
picsstep23-012.jpg (32206 bytes) Take the 3 x 42.7 mm lower outer hinge pin and fit a 2.5 mm E-clip in the groove.
To prevent E-clips to get loose there is a option kit where the hinge pins are bolt/nut construction.
picsstep23-013.jpg (43242 bytes) Take the right hand side rear hub carrier and place it in-between the right hand side lower suspension arm and align the lower hole in the rear hub carrier.
Slide the hinge pin fully through.
picsstep23-014.jpg (42161 bytes) Secure this side of the rear outer hinge pin with a 2.5 mm E-clip too.
picsstep23-015.jpg (52793 bytes) Take the open wheel base adjustment clips from the plastic tree.
picsstep23-016.jpg (40421 bytes) Place one at each side of the rear hub carrier in the space that is there on the rear outer hinge pin.
picsstep23-017.jpg (40930 bytes) By placing them one at each side you adjust the car to medium wheel base length.
If you put two in the rear you make the car a shorter wheel base one.
If you put two in the front you make the car a longer wheel base one.
picsstep23-018.jpg (44643 bytes) Now perform the same steps for left hand side and this is the result.
We find it out of date that the PRO version still comes with any kind of E-clips where an option kit is available to exchange all E-clipped hinge pins.
But according to Hong Nor this has all to do with pricing of the kit.
