Step 34
Take the front gearbox and place it on the
chassis aligning the hole for the screws.
Secure the front gear box at the red marked
spots using 4 x 16 mm countersunk hexagon screws using 2.5 mm
hexagon tool.
Fit the front bumper between the front gear
box and the chassis and fit a 3 x 10 mm round head hexagon screw at the
red marked spot using a 2 mm hexagon tool.
Secure the front gear box at the red marked
spots using 4 x 16 mm countersunk hexagon screws using 2.5 mm
hexagon tool.
Loosen up the red marked screws using 2.5 mm
hexagon tool a few turns..
At the red marked spot fit 4 x 12 mm
countersunk hexagon screws using 2.5 mm hexagon tool.
Use medium strength thread lock.
Tight the red marked screws one by one using
2.5 mm hexagon tool a few turns..
Use medium strength thread lock.
Take the rear gearbox and place it on the
chassis aligning the hole for the screws.
Secure the rear gear box at the red marked
spots using 4 x 16 mm countersunk hexagon screws using 2.5 mm
hexagon tool.
At the red marked spots we have to place two
3 mm lock nuts.
In my kit the lock nuts did not fitted by hand force.
So I placed a long 3 mm screw through the
hole and pulled the 3 mm lock nut at its place.
Then I replaced the long screw with the original 3 x 12 mm countersunk
hexagon screws using a 2 mm hexagon tool.
These 3 x 12 mm countersunk hexagon screws I found in the bag with the
engine mounts!
So in this picture you see parts in your case are not mounted yet!
The red marked screws for the front chassis
brace viewed from the bottom.
The red marked screws for the rear chassis
brace viewed from the bottom.
The rear chassis brace fixed to the
chassis.
Front and rear gear box mounted.
I found it not nice
the 3 mm lock nuts had to be pulled in by an other screw instead of
handforce.
Also the fact the required screws are no in a bag already openend.
