Step 42

picsstep41-004.jpg (55800 bytes) The adjustable engine mounts can interfere with the bottom case of the engine.
As you can clearly see with this STS DB 21 engine the bottom cooling rib is obstructing correct mounting. You can remove the rib or other obstacles with a file so these engine mounts can be used. Or use the optional ONE PIECE engine mount from Hong Nor.
picsstep41-005.jpg (57188 bytes) Fit 3 x16 mm hexagon screws through the engine mounting holes.
Fit at the bottom of the screws 3 mm lock nuts a few turns by hand force.
picsstep41-006.jpg (56973 bytes) Slide the engine mount over the 3 mm lock nuts and tight the 3 mm hexagon screws using a 2.5 mm hexagon tool.
We have to readjust these engine mounts so only tight them lightly.
picsstep41-007.jpg (51234 bytes) A quick test can be done with a break off knife blade if the engine mounts are flat.
If this is not the case make sure the engine mounts are free from the crank case.
Nice the kit comes with adjustable engine mounts.
