Step 43

picsstep43-002.jpg (73849 bytes) Position the engine to the chassis and check if the mounting holes of the engine mounts correspond with the holes in the chassis.
picsstep43-003.jpg (54548 bytes) Secure the engine mounts with 5 mm flanged hexagon screws using a 3 mm hexagon tool.
Only tight them lightly as the engine still can move a little as it must be adjusted.
Make sure the engine is parallel with the center of the car.
picsstep43-001.jpg (52714 bytes) Check if the clutch bell is running in the center of the main gear.
If this is not the case adjust the screws in the engine mounting holes so the engine can slide to the correct position. Then tight them fully using a 2. 5 mm hexagon L-shape tool.
Check if the mesh of the clutch bell against the main gear is OK.
The clutch bell should turn without a crunching sound as close as possible against the main gear. If that is achieved tight the 5 mm flanged engine screws firmly.
Do not use thread lock on these engine screws.
