Step 54

piccstep54-001.jpg (37904 bytes) All the parts needed for the standard dual stage air foam filter.
piccstep54-002.jpg (37166 bytes) Take the air filter connector and fit the short side to the air filter holder.
Use a zip ty to secure them.
Cut off the extended part of the zip ty using a sharp hobby knife.
piccstep54-003.jpg (45753 bytes) Take the inner air filter foam and put it in a plastic bag.
The kit does not comes with air filter oil.
We used R&B transparent RICINUS/METHANOL based air filter oil.
You can use standard BLUE colored MotoCross based air filter oil too.
Apply oil to the foam.
piccstep54-004.jpg (47220 bytes) Massage the oil thoroughly through the foam so it is evenly spread.
piccstep54-005.jpg (52082 bytes) Take a paper towel or an old T-shirt and massage all excessive oil from the foam filter.
piccstep54-006.jpg (35589 bytes) Slide the second stage foam air filter on the air filter holder and fit the end cap.
Secure the end cap with 3 x 8 mm round head hexagon screw using a 2 mm hexagon tool.
piccstep54-007.jpg (38620 bytes) Now place the first stage air filter foam.
In case of very dusty track conditions you can prepare this first stage air filter foam too with air filter oil.
piccstep54-008.jpg (76462 bytes) Fit the air filter connector to the neck of the carburator and use a zip ty at the red marked spot to secure it.
Cut off the extended part of the zip ty using a sharp hobby knife.
Nice the car comes with a dual stage foam air filter.
Shame there is no air filter oil supplied.
