Step 56
The kit comes with:
4 yellow colored dish rims using 17 mm wheel adapter
4 tyres Monza tyres
4 hard inserts.
Make three slits in the center line of the carcass
of the tyres using a sharp hobby knife or use a punch.
Wear glasses
during gluing tyres. Cyano Acrylic glue is dangerous when it hits your
fingers eyes or other parts of the body. Take precautions to prevent any
of this.
Make sure the tyre edge is fitting in the outside groove
of the rim.
Place the tire on a flat surface. Force the side wall of the tire outwards
by your finger and let a drop of Cyano Acrylic glue flow into the gap.
Now slowly close the gap and let the tire side wall touch the rim. If
there is to much glue it will come upwards be careful! In that case open
the gap one centimeter beside the old spot and let the glue flow that way.
Do this the whole tire around until the tire is fixed. By pulling on the
tire wall after a few minutes you can check for the bonding. If there is a
spot where the glue has not did his job, apply some more. Do not use
excessive amount of Cyano glue. The less, the better the strength of the
bonding. After 25 minutes check where the tyre is not attached to the rim
and apply on these spots also a drop cyano acrylic glue. Repeat this
sequence until the tyre is completely attached to the rim. Take your time to do this job!
Then turn the outside of the tyre open. You
might put some drops of cyano acrylic glue in the inside of the rim edge
and tyre.
Place the insert around the rim.
Refit the tyre making sure the insert is not
in between the rim and the tyre edge.
Make sure the tyre edge is fitting in the outside groove of the rim.

rotation direction.
