This is the building process of a Hong Nor X2-CRB PRO with all pro's and con's found.

PART 11

We found the original wing decals a little boring so we decided to ask CRD to make a pretty custom design not only for the wing but for the complete car.

High quality 160 uM laminated precut decals with high tack glue.
The CRD decals can be formed to the curves of the wing by using a hairdryer.
For Hong Nor the CRD wings inner decals are standard.
For Hong Nor the CRD wings rear upper decals are standard.
For Hong Nor the CRD wings inner plate decals are standard.
The body we received is not precut as we were used with the X1 versions.

The nose of the body has changed  in form only.

From the factory the places that need to be used for drilling 8 mm body holes and the engine cooling head area are marked with a black felt pen.

Due to the fact the engine is moved forward on the chassis the black felt pen markings are important.

Also this is 160 uM laminated high tack vinyl foil that can be formed to the curves of the body with a hairdryer.
Take the cover spray foil from the body first!!!!!!

Take the decal from the backing sheet and rinse the decal through a mixture of water with a few drops of dishwashing soap.

Align the decal to the window edge and firmly press the water under the decal away to the edges of the decal.
In case round forms and curves are needed use the hairdryer to warm up the foil so it can be reformed by pressing gently with your fingers.
If there are air bubbles under the decal trapped take a sharp needle and press a little hole in the highest top of the air bubble.
Then gently press the air and trapped water through the hole. Use the hairdryer to warm the decal and firmly press the decal to the body for highest bonding quality.
Maximum bonding is reached after 24 hours.

When all is done you see NO PAINT is needed!

This enhances the strength of the body as most paints used are based on solvent components to adhere the paint to the body. These solvents make the body weaker.

The nose part is a separate part of the body and we covered it with a white decal too.
The nose is now a fixed part of the car.
