The car comes with the famous and highly regarded 16 mm (piston size) super big bore shock absorbers. The virtual maintenance free shock absorbers are easy to build.

Video how to build Hong Nor Super Big Bore shock absorbers correctly.

The kit comes with short and long shock ends.
In general they make the ride height of the car and so called maximum droop.
We build the car with short shock ends in the front and long shock ends in the rear.
At the 5 minute mark in the video the builders voice is mentioning the wrong value (sorry guys) of the shock distance.
The table afterwards shown in the video is correct!
Correct values in mm for the distance between the lower shock end and the lower part of the shock body.
FRONT
Long shock end 32 mm
Short shock end 36 mm
REAR
Long shock end 37.5 mm
Short shock end 41.5 mm

The car comes with two different colored springs.
To identify the spring hardness we used this FREE decal from CRD that can be obtained for free.
Send an email to info@customracingdecal.com for more info.
There are two series pistons on the kit.
The 6 x 1.4 mm (is molded in the piston) that you need to use as standard is left in the picture.

Right in the picture is the 1.2 mm (not marked) which you can use to drill the hole size to an other value like 1.3 or 1.35 mm to have a little more pack.

The complete shock absorber.
All four shocks nicely identified by CRD shock oil labels.
The screws that secure the bottom part of the shock absorber have at one side LEFT thread screws. This will prevent the screws will loosen themselves.

These screws are silver colored and to fasten you have to turn anti clockwise.

In the front that is for the right hand side.

In the rear that is for the left hand side.
The kit comes with a large bronze sintered decomposable fuel filter.
This is how we routed the fuel and pressure lines.
The clips come standard.
We advise you to glue the clips to the fuel tank see our tips& tricks section.
The fuel line and fuel filter clearly visible.
