08-04-1999 Hello!
I too am a crazed 1/8 scale enthusiast and run a Top (NOVA) BT21BK three port motor. This is a beautifully designed engine with stunning performance for just three ports. Being a short stroke it manages very good mid range to high end response despite its three ports. Derek Furutani didn't seem to have a problem becoming the 98' USA national champion with this motor in his Laro Diablo 2. As for performance and reliability, this motor runs like clockwork and is on par with the Novarossi standard of quality and reliability. Fuel efficiency is excellent with this motor and settings remain very consistent throughout the race. Acceleration is very smooth, especially with the boost bottle, and acceleration curve is very linear. Excellent value for the money and definitely one of the easier motors to break in and get running. Lawrence. larryh@aloha.net

Nova 6S

This is a entry level 4-port buggy engine with acceptable performance and NOVA quality chromed sleeve. Only the coolinghead is a little bit small for buggy use

Nova RX 21-B

This is a longstroke 4-port buggy engine with chromed sleeve. A three needle composite 8 m/m carburator. The performance is OK for short and middle long tracks. Bottom punch is OK.
