XXXMAIN lexan picture glue how to use

1] Cut out an image from a magazine or other printed
matter. Make sure the printed matter is +/- 3 mm from
the edges of the body.
2] Use some very fine sand paper to lightly rough the lexan surface the image
is to be glued to.
3} Apply the glue with a fine bristle brush very evenly on the face of the
picture.
We
find the glue a little to thick.
This gives uneven stripes of glue on the picture and therefor
a not evenly colored result.
You might try for a better result to put some glue in a
little bottle
(for example a bottle that normally contains 35 mm photo
material) and add a few drops of water.
Then stir the glue with a metal pin until it become a little
more fluid.
If it is not fluid enough add some more drops of water and
stir again.
Use a flat and smooth surface to put the picture on like a small glass plate and
apply the glue evenly!
The smoother the glue surface is applied the less you will see in the
end result.
Some coated inkjet printing papers are hygroscopic that means
they attract water.
So add some extra glue to that kind of paper.
4] Place the picture on the inside of the lexan body and position it as
needed.
Do not move it to much from the original
spot where it should be placed!
We advise to glue a sample picture and try it all on a not used
spot of the body.
5] Gently pat out any air bubbles or creases from the center of the picture.
Do not squeeze
the image firmly or the printed picture may tear.
Be very gentle!
It is Ok
to leave some glue and air bubbles under the picture as the glue will dry clear
and is not be seen.
6] Use a damp towel to wipe away any excess glue from around the picture.
Don’t worry if some glue remains, it will dry clear.
If you think the picture is not OK
or find there is not enough remove the picture and clean the surface with a damp
towel.
Then go back to step 1 skipping step 2
7] Allow the glue to dry for at least 12 hours to fully cure.
8] Once the glue is fully cured you may apply the lexan-safe paint over the
picture.
9] We found out that edges of the picture may come lose
after a while in use. We solved it by applying a small layer of SHOE
GOO
along the edges.
